Hampshire Local Optical Committee (LOC) exists to represent and assist local performers and contractors.
We are here to advise on eye care services and work with PCTs to develop community based eye care services. Where appropriate we liaise with colleagues in the Hospital Eye Services
The aims of the LOC and the context within which we work are set out in our latest Business Plan
The LOC’s priorities agreed for this year are to:
- Develop communication & relationships with GP consortia and pathfinders.
- Provide programme of educational events across Hampshire
- Successfully develop and implement an additional eye care scheme

- Performance hearings
- Data protection
- Information Governance
